Forget Me Not control
What is the best approach for Forget Me Not invading turf?

Wow, I'd forgotten all about forget-me-nots as a weed. Back when I was in grade school, my mom frequently planted forget-me-nots in her flower garden, and they'd invariably make their way into the lawn in a year or two (not that we really cared then) but would also get into my dad's vegetable garden, which wasn't good!
I haven't forgotten helping my dad hand-pull forget-me-nots from the vegetable garden.
I have no idea how one would control them in turf, other than by hand-pulling before they go to seed. I would think that 2,4-D would likely be effective against them, though, but don't really know that. I'm guessing that 2,4-D doesn't work, or you wouldn't be asking here...

They really are invasive and I can't find anything about control, pre, and/or post emergence.
