Advice on which TTTF seed to buy
I have very nice TTTF. It's thick, weed free, and dark green. Each summer I have to battle disease to one extent or another. This year I made it until August with no issues. We had a lot of rain and I have dollar spot for the first time ever. No worries, it only affected one area and it's not that bad. I have it under control.
I will need to seed the affected areas in a few weeks, as well as a light over-seeding of the entire lawn. I want to get some of the super special seed you all talk about ordering from an online retailer. I read about it every now and then on here. Could someone please let me know exactly what I need and where the best place to buy is?
Details:
Full Sun, no shade, south facing lawn
Tall Fescue

^Agreed. I used the Hogan blend TTTF, except substituted Bullseye for Paramount. Marinegrunt added Nuglade KBG, I actually added hybrid bluegrass to my mix.

Hogan may be a better source, but I'd consider contacting Newsom Seed. Their headquarters is in Fulton (HoCo), but they also have a location in Gaithersburg. They just might have some idea about the varieties that survive our humid summers.

I've used Hogan and like them, very good customer service. If you don't want to try to figure out what seed to get just get the blend as others have mentioned. Many people will throw in a little KBG into the mix for the self-repair aspect. Hogan will be happy to sell you a little KBG.

Here's the seed label.
How much did you pay for 50lbs including shipping?

Here is what I went with. I had them tweak the bluegrass to what's listed on the tag, after reading up on these two cultivars here on the boards

Re: Advice on which TTTF seed to buy
Last year, I did a full TTTF renovation.
Firecracker SLS is a wonderful cultivar. It's about 33% of my lawn and looks beautiful.
I also have Titanium LS, the precursor to the Titanium SLS as about 33% of my lawn. I believe you will be pleased.
The other 33% of my lawn is my favorite cultivar so far: Raptor III. I highly recommend that cultivar if you overseed your stand next year.
