Anyone use M-Bonder for soil/seed stabilization on a slope?

I'll be overseeding my Dad's lawn in about a week, and he's always had an issue with washout on his front hill. A portion of it slopes about 60% vertically, and 20% horizontally. Anyway, Im looking to use a tackifier to help keep the seed in place long enough to get some roots in place and then it can hold its own. I've found M-Binder available online, which appears to be something like a plantain mucilage, in powder form. Anyone have experience, or an alternate product they prefer for this purpose?
