Urea 46-0-0, grub killer, and herbicide

Post by Casutherland » October 3rd, 2017, 4:25 pm

Question..

Can I apply fertilizer, grub killer, and herbicide to a new reno all in the same application, or do I need to spread them out?

If so, how far apart should they be spread? Will any of these damage a new reno?

Urea is fine as long as the seedlings are mature enough. As for herbicides it all depends on which kind and application rate. There are so many different kinds of herbicides with all different ingredients. Nobody can answer that without more specific details. Both the herbicide and grub killer label should give you that information though.

So the Triangle Approach talks about a fertilizer to spur growth and then smacking the weeds down after.

If it were me I would Urea and Dylox same time, water in. Then later in the week herbicide.

It really depends on the herbicide. For instance, I was going to put quinclorac on my new seedlings before Andy stopped me. Grass and herbicide type matter along with time

Well I am battling onion grass and clover. Is there something that will hit both, or no?

Also, this seed was planted about 3-4 weeks ago, so it is starting to get more established now.
