What am I working with here, ladies and gents?
So the turf is finally looking fantastic when about 2 weeks ago I notice my TTTF has uninvited company. By yesterday it had festered into a full blown "problem" that is going to need to be dealt with. It is really taking over, which is interesting because I would have thought my cool season turf would out compete a Bermuda-looking weed this time of year (of course, I realize it may not be bermuda). It is in a section of sod I laid this summer around a hardscaping project - which explains why I've never seen it before.
Doctors of the turf, what do I have here?

Could be nimblewill. I have a bit in my yard. Tenacity took it out beautifully but I think I missed a couple sections because it bounced back a bit. Probably should have followed up with a second app but it's in the past. But yes my vote is nimblewill.

Thanks for the reply, but unfortunately I know from experience that this is not Nimblewill - although it looks very similar in a picture. All of the Nimblewill in the neighbors lawns has browned up and gone to bed. This particular nuisance is much coarser than Nimblewill and alive and awake this time of year.

Top photo looks like my clumping fescue. The lines in the leaves are usually the giveaway.
Pics of the yard not so much.

The last picture looks like dormant bermuda grass.
