Took the mower down from 3.5" to 3" due to grass laying over. Cut it and immediately looks a lot nicer and more upright. Trimmed, edged, applied Vitamin M at 14.4 lbs/K and SOP at 2 lbs/K. Hoping for some decent rain tonight to settle it all in

Raised the HOC to 3.5”, a little earlier than planned but the blades were looking really good at 3”. Dropped monthly SOP and watered.

Sprayed Serenade at 5 oz/K 7 days after first Biofungicide app due to leaf spot symptoms on young Bewitched blades.

Cut @ 4" and my new sprayer arrived. Now I just have to figure out how to mount it to my tractor using the cargo tray.

Lawn and gardens are peaking right around June 10th, just as they do every year. The slow start this year and compressed Spring Flush are over and the lawn has settled in nicely. The "Emblem" front yard is saying "bring on the heat" (it seems to love Summer heat).

Still have not used the irrigation, other than to test that it is ready-to-go when required.

PS: Summer training has started at West Point - nothing says "beautiful Sunday morning" quite like machine-gun fire.

Mounted and calibrated the new sprayer. 2.5 gallons of Serenade is on its way... I'm a little late, but I'll get it down this week.

Mowed, trimmed, and put down an extra app of Blsc before the rain. Hoping to improve a particularly compacted area of my lawn that's been a yearly problem and is already showing signs of drought stress. The nearby maple isn't helping.

Applied calcitic lime, epsom, milo to another property.

Mow 21 out of the way. We’re closing on this house Friday, I will miss this lawn!

Watered seed.

Mowed and trimmed grandfather's - 11 days but not a disaster this time. Looks like the corner grass I planted last September wants to die off. Probably no soil...just asphalt there. Bought $9 of gas for the tractor...a little over 3 gallons.

Lawns are starting to go brown around here from a combination of sun/heat buildup, and fungal disease.

Put down 12-12-12 at 8lb/k rate as part of my soil plan. Also, applied Serenade with Kelp Help for the first time. With my 2.5 gallons of Serenade and garage full of Milo, I guess I'm officially a crazy lawn guy now :).

My new sprayer worked great until I was just about done and the pump housing cracked spraying primordial goo everywhere ..hopefully warranty covers a replacement :(.

Got about 3 inches of rain in the greater Indianapolis area, had to work the day job so it was a good day to be stuck inside... threw down 180 lbs of Milo once the downpour stopped and called it a day.

Applied milo w/ epsom. Will have my supply of BSF for the rest of the year very shortly. Staked a couple rain gauges to hopefully track rainfall more accurately. Sharpened the blades and set the HoC to 4 inches for the next mow.

Wandered about the yard with an adult beverage and enjoyed my handiwork... No backpacks, no spreader, no lugging 50lb bags.

Happy Fathers day to all of my crazy lawn friends!

Rolled out the remainder of the Netafim 1/2 inch tubing to finish my drip irrigation. Planted about 30 perennials and shrubs in the beds.... in the rain.

Waiting for my Logan soil test results.
