Re: 2019: What Did You Do On Your Lawn Today?
Put down lime, epsom salt and milo. Tried to get SOP but struck out twice. Maybe everyone already knows this but the SiteOne website 'in stock' thing is totally bogus and not at all accurate. Practiced with my sprayer using only water. Going to put down prodiamine tomorrow, probably a little early for me but the next few weekends I won't have time.

Good call. Ferris Farms is shutting down (being sold to a developer). Cream Ridge is the place to go. I picked up 30 bags myself.bauer time wrote: ↑April 8th, 2019, 9:16 amI got this at Good Earth Nursery in Cream Ridge, NJ.Pway wrote: ↑April 7th, 2019, 5:17 pmDid you get it at Ferris or somewhere else? Re: 2019: What Did You Do On Your Lawn Today?
I thought it was entirely too early fertilizer (even Milo/Oceangro). Am I mistaken?
Thank you.
Thank you.

Let’s not hijack the thread. Start a new one, if you like. But in summary, Oceangro sells for $7.99 a bag during April (for a 45 pound bag). People buy it now for later use.

Re: 2019: What Did You Do On Your Lawn Today?
Correct. I bought what I needed to get me into September. I'm glad I found the location in Cream Ridge. Last year I drove to Manasquan to pick some up. This was a lot closer and a nice little nursery.
Anyway, I put some down yesterday before the rain last night. Yard is looking good for early in the season!

Got my soil samples sent off.
First/cleanup mow. Surprised at taking 1/2 inch off the back yard.
Keeping an eye on soil temps (for proactive Companion apps on suspected Summer Patch areas.)
Watching for forsythia.
Loving this time of year!

Re: 2019: What Did You Do On Your Lawn Today?
we have like three rain events coming through next week or so. I'm planning on getting something down each rain storm.
First up was my pre-m, they are predicting 0.5" of drizzle. Ill get the grub-ex down next week when the bigger storm hits.

Mow #1 and dug up some old bushes out of the flower bed and planted four smaller ones. Now I’m all finished and ready to watch the Masters.

Like many others, I mowed for the first time. The grass is shiny (looks great). Way ahead in my neighborhood. Soil temp 45.8 F. It's supposed to rain and snow tomorrow, with a nighttime low of 32.

Re: 2019: What Did You Do On Your Lawn Today?
Put down 50 lbs Dimension 0-0-7 0.15% w/MOP on grandfather's lawn. Miraculously it was relatively dry after the rain...no real squishy areas. The lawn is in bad need of a trim around the edges, and will need a mow in like a week or so. The overseeded areas from last year look good. Everything looks good overall. I also put down about 10 lbs of 10-10-10 on the new grass areas, using up the bag, so hopefully they'll strengthen up and survive.
Went lower on the main front--split app type of deal.

Round two of rain tonight, put down Grub-EX.
Also did a quick "hail mary" reno for my sister with PR, doubt it will make it through teh summer, but a good week and a half of rain is on the way. Should be interesting to see how things work out.

Re: 2019: What Did You Do On Your Lawn Today?
Got my first legit mow in today at 3.75". Had done a clean up low mow last week. Grass is looking good expect for the Poa Annua spots that always show up in the same spots. I kill them with Tenacity in Spring, do a fall pre-M and they still keep coming back. I don't get it.
