Mowed. Was planning on starting the bottom tier of the triangle method this weekend with some Speed Zone but looks like it's going to be too windy. Lots of broad leaf weeds to deal with.

Re: 2019: What Did You Do On Your Lawn Today?
Mixed CCO and WBG in 1 gal pump sprayers for spot spraying.
CCO on chickweed.
I noticed that the chickweed was only on the edges of my lawn/yard.
I'm thinking I missed those areas last August when I dropped the Halts.
I may need one of those hand spreaders to do the edges.
Dropped SOP.
Probably could have mowed but deceided on the CCO and SOP instead and will mow Saturday.
This year I deceided to remove my root bound, out of control, perennial garden in my front yard.
I plan on returning the area back to grass.
Couldn't even get a shovel to dig it out!
Neighbor came over and rototilled it for me.
I've been working on it daily since for about 2 weeks.
The garden was originally built up on a mound so I had to remove a lot of soil, in order to get it level with my lawn.
I sifted the soil and used a lot of it to fill the low spots in my backyard.
As tempting as it is to put down seed now,
I know it's not the right thing to do.
Now I just need to round up all plants that deceide to pop up from now until I reseed in August.
I have back up soil to level any areas that settle. So I'm thinking August it will be in great shape.
That and damage areas in my backyard are my focus this year.

Forsythia are in full bloom and I already have 1 mow in! I sprayed a split rate of Prodiamine 65 WDG. Missed last fall so I am paying for it in weeds now.

Re: 2019: What Did You Do On Your Lawn Today?
I pulled the bag of blue grama seeds from the freezer and threw some down on bare spots. I did that before the first snow last fall, also, but the seeds apparently washed away in a lot of spots. It has been both fairly warm and fairly rainy lately. Those are both unusual conditions here, but ideal for getting blue grama to germinate.

Mow #6 completed. Sprayed another round of CCO, ~2 weeks since last. Edged the walks and driveway.

Mowed yesterday (2 inches). Lawn looks good. Nice recovery from winter. All Hail to the fall regimen.

First 4oz/a app of Tenacity for Poa Annua went down last night.
Also hit my neighbor's yard with Tremec...
He asked me to. Don't worry

I'm pretty sure the reason the edges of my lot are more yellow is because my neighbors' lawn services turn around on my lawn without turning off their herbicide sprayers. I've seen one do it anyways.

Re: 2019: What Did You Do On Your Lawn Today?
Last week I put down ~2 month rate of prodiamine on everything but a 200 sqft area that thinned out badly over winter. Seeded it today. It was the one area that gets the least sun; had a glacier on it when everywhere else was greening up nicely. Gave it a tenacity app.
This is the first time I have the main portion of the lawn on a proper preemergent regimine since starting almost 3 years ago.
Pulled a bit of poa annua, already seeing some heads, but very isolated since keeping an eye on it the past year. Not too worried.
Gave everything some milo as the first nitrogen app.
Bad news: I positively ID'd a couple patches of triv in the backyard. One about 1 sqft and another about a third that size a couple feet away. Really standing out. Gonna start glyphosating it shortly, leaving a foot or so of a margin around what's visible. Worried I have more of it around but maybe too little to stand out. Been scanning the lawn closely multiple times daily. Guessing I should do a diagnostic dose on the whole lawn, but it looks better than it ever has right now...
Spring green up was pretty amazing. I'm guessing that winterization app did the trick. I really waited until the last minute.
