Put down my second app of Heritage G last night along with a light feeding. Brown patch is mostly under control thanks to finally getting some sun during the last two weeks. The forecast for this week is calling for 7 days of clouds and rain again :(

Mowed, applied REAL milo (likely last app before Summer), and Serenade at 2oz/k.

The downsides of mowing with a reel mower and having constant rain. This is mowing 6 days of growth in the rain. Got 2/3 done before lightning, then spent 30 minutes drying it off. Mowed through an inch of water in places.

Rain ever day this week.

You managed to get *BOTH* your finger and your foot in the picture? Is this some form of fetish?

Irrigation company hooked up the full drip irrigation today. I need to add the tubing and emitters to remaining plants.

Put down bag rate of DiseaseEx on lawn. Very small pellets and I’m not confident in a spreader application for it. I think after I run out of DiseaseEX I’m going to stick with spray applications of Serenade to get complete coverage.

Applied 50lbs of Ferrous Sulfate just ahead of the rain. All part of my soil plan.

Thanks, but my yard is a total mess right now. I have literally gotten home from work, rushed out to mow, and been rained out 3 days in a row. Fugly. Pain.

If Noah had a lawn.....

Cmon you cant mow in flip flops with a push mower now....
That's one upside of a ride on reel. The reels cannot run with my butt off the seat.

I might as well have thrown on swim trunks too....

I've had nearly 7 inches of rain just this week. It's ridiculous.

Rain still coming nicely on a weekly manner. Haven't used irrigation at all other than testing. Mowing between rain.
Today was removing 5 shrubs and planting new ones. Really cleaned up the area.

Weather.com says my zip code has had 1.42 inches of rain month to date, but when I add up the rainfall for each day, it comes out to about .3 inch. I think that's closer to reality. I'm not sure if the blue grama that sprouted this spring will need more water or if it will go dormant and spring back. I'm not worried about the established grass. It should not only stay alive, but stay green (blue/ green, anyway). I think I'll test the sprinkler system Saturday and water in the wee hours Saturday night/ Sunday morning.

I've had a cherry tree since I bought my house 20+ years ago, but for years, the birds ate them all. A few years ago, I learned that if I start early, and pick some before they're completely ripe, I can get quite a few cherries (not as many as the birds get).

I picked a few last weekend and picked a little more than 4 lbs this evening.

Last night it didnt rain all evening. I double mowed, trimmed, then took the blower around to stand up matted areas and disperse chunks of cut blades.

Yes, i blow dried the lawn basically hahahhaha

Then I moved plugs. Almost too wet to move them.

No rain until this evening again.

Yard is starting to look better, but the consistent rain is probably the hardest challenge I've come up against in long time to keep it top notch.

This is where I killed some mystery weed a month ago and moved some plugs in last night:

Looks good HLG. Do you ever spread a little peatmoss or milo with your plugs?

I dont do any top dressing normally. I will come back from time to time and hit with extra fertilizer, which is why I take plugs from the same area where they are going. I often use milo.

We had five days of humid rainy weather, lawn took off and I'm concerned about disease. It really needed a cut.

Unfortunately I'm working tomorrow when the sun finally comes out. So had to cut during a dry spot today, even though it was wet.

Got my next to last BSF app down, and will try to get a serenade app down later today, even though the lawn will be damp.

I'm just playing catch up at this point, hopefully I'll see the sun on my days off next week, its been a while. The prime disease season is coming in with a vengeance and I'm not sure the my preventive fungicide apps are even close to ready after this spring.

Looking pretty rusty here. A bit of redthread too. I'm just trying to ride it out while doing daily 2oz serenade apps, sometimes twice in a day on the worst of it, whenever their was a good break in the rain. Looking forward to the dry mid 80's forecast ahead.

I put down my 2nd prodiamine app before the last bit of light rain today; late by the looks of it. Saw a tiny bit of clover pop up, and some damn nimblewill... Crabgrass free for the time being. Still have some poa annua trying to take hold, just been trying to pull it, not always successful...

Threw mulch for 9 hours in preparation for a high school grad party. Adult beverage in hand to survey my handiwork.

Good luck with the party! Ours went great last weekend -- here's to hoping you have an equally successful one!
