Put my mind at ease, please?

Hi All,

I did some spring planting in areas I had to do some trench digging etc. After 5 yds of loam, I used Seed Superstores' KBG Mix and there TTTF mix. It has been 14 days, with irrigation and I believe its the TTTF that has been around for 7 days already. I know that I read KBG will be 14-28 days in ideal conditions. I am just nervous. My neighbor did a spring reno (10 yds loam) and used the big box store "Sun & Shade" mix and has a nice even carpet of light green. No irrigation, no starter fert. Someone please tell me mine will be worth the wait....

Thank you

Even my PR has not even fully germinated and what has is pouting...yes, it's nerve wracking, especially when it's almost Summer, but that's how mid/late Spring plantings are.

Please keep us updated as to what happens. I think if not a single thing has sprouted you might be in trouble if you're already 2 weeks in. Can you post a picture?
How are the soil temps where you live?
How often are you watering?
Did you cover with peat moss or straw?
Do you have a sprinkler system or are you watering manually?

Hi Thanks for the reply. I do have seedlings, but assuming they are the TTTF and not KBG yet. Soil temps are just starting to increase. I am in SE Mass and nights have been relatively cool. I water every mid-morning via sprinkler system and evening manually. I did not cover with peat or straw. My concern is that mine looks "sparse" compared to my neighbor who used name brand Sun & Shad mix. Is it my elite KBG taking its time? Am I just too impatient?

So something is coming up? Yes it looks sparse vs any other grass. They are very tiny and really take their time to get going. From germination it took almost 3 weeks for mine to even start to resemble a normal lawn. Look up "sprout and pout". Mine is just starting to come out of it.
