Fungus and Nitrogen Apps

Post by SalemChiro » June 14th, 2019, 9:48 am

This is the first year I'm battling a grass fungus, brown lesions on the blade then the blade turns yellow. It's not brown patch, instead it is lightly spread out over the lawn. My question is, do I need to alter my nitrogen applications. I'm currently using Milo at half bag rate every two weeks.

PS. I am applying fungicides at this time.

Thanks!

Are you sure you've ruled out Brown Patch? It doesn't have to be just patches...it can be evenly spread out like you say. Fairly large irregular but defined light gray to tan lesions with a brown line around them on the leaf blade is indicative of brown patch. If you see any yellow, it's something else.

Milo at bag rate monthly isn't excessive.
