Can you mix different herbicides?
Hello everyone,
Hope all is well. I am finally done with one hell of a month at work. Walking around my yard and notice I really spot spray around the yard one last time. I've been dealing with a pretty bad case of clover in the back and some random other weeds. In the past, I've used speedzone, which works great but found that it didn't do too well with clover at all. In April, I spray weed-b-gone for the clover, which did fine on the clover (first time I saw results) but the other weeds laughed at it.
My question is simple. Can I mix both weed-b-gone and speedzone together to spot spray to get more get a better handle of all the types of weeds I'm seeing?

Re: Can you mix different herbicides?
Not for clover.
You need something like triclopyr, which can also hurt tier1 weeds.

Most likely not a good idea. Both products contain significant amounts of 2,4-D, Dicamba and MCPP. That's like applying them at double-rate. Speedzone adds Carfentrazone. My question is simple. By far, clover is best dealt with by using Triclopyr. It's slower (2-3 apps, 10-14 days apart) but very effective. It is in Weed-B-Gon Clover, chickweed and Oxalis Killer, as well as other products -read labels and look for 8% or more of Triclopyr. You can read more on this site by searching for the term "CCO".

Re: Can you mix different herbicides?
Yeah, I've never had either do well individually on clover.

Re: Can you mix different herbicides?
Remember, daimbert said, "I spray weed-b-gone for the clover, which did fine on the clover". It could very well have been Weed-B-Gon CCO that he used. Thus my question. Any replies will depend on the answer to that question.
