June Temperatures All Over the Board
This has been an unusual June here - temperatures have been all over the place, with the rather wet Spring pattern holding on, and even daily temperature ranges being a bit extreme.
Example: I got up this morning at 5:30am (soil test interpretations to do!) and it was 44F. It will top out today at 80F.

62F now. Still haven't run irrigation for an inch a week.
Rainfall this year hasn't been that excessive, but it's been consistent, leaving muddy conditions that prevented farmers from being able to plant. Last week only 30 some percent had been planted and it jumped to 2/3 this week.
The fields by me haven't been turned yet.
Raining again now!

Re: June Temperatures All Over the Board
I've only used the irrigation system once, and that was because I applied Urea and an inch of rain was expected the next day, and I didn't want to see it all wash down the slope. Still haven't used it for normal watering.

Yeah, I have done the same. Wash in fert or grub preventative. No full cycles needed yet.

I'm not going to complain...the temps have averaged out to essentially average here. Rainfall is also about average for May to June.
The trickiest thing has been trying to spray stuff (lawn, trees) with either wind or rain almost every day. I only have one Serenade app so far. I haven't gotten the Nu-Film 17 yet for it. It's also time to start Certainty and Velocity apps for residual Triv, as it's wanting to start going dormant. Right now, everything is blowing in the wind and the sun is as strong as in South Florida in August (but with a bit less UV and more skin-heating infrared proportionately--we hit a 10 on the UV scale one day last week, but never go above that).
