is this fungus on my perennial rye?

Yellow tinge over the whole lawn. How could this happen? This is PR in it's first year. It was renovated last September 2018

Yep, desease


Get something down fast, that is bad in that second picture.


I cant zoom in to see lesions more clearly, but it could be rust. Also look at leaf spot. Dollar spot perhaps.

You'll probably need a few apps of something to get rid of it.

Probably. That and frequent rain/cloudiness. Gray Leaf spot is one possibility. If you read up on it, it will scare you.

I looked up the common fungus problems and their pictures but they don't look my lawn at all, how come?

Maybe yours has already dead blades?

Pretty sure I see leaf spot and possibly also brown patch and dollar spot lesions.

I'd get one of those blue hose end spray bottles of desease ex (Propacanazole) and put a heavy app out. It will kill all the stuff mentioned.

Meanwhile try to figure out what you may have, more than one is possible like green said, and then see what cultural practices will help.

Bag mow though until it's gone. All those fungi mentioned will spread on contact, aerially, in dead material etx

ok, lucily my front lawn was just renovated so I haven't mowed it at all this year
I'll wash the deck before mowing the front lawn
