Weed ID
Below are a couple images of a weed that I am trying to identify in a couple patches of my yard. I believe that it is something of the warm season variety, and my fear is that it may be Bermuda. The areas that it is located get mostly full sun, and it is definitely spreading. I don't believe that it looks like creeping bent or nimblewill, but I am definitely not an expert when it comes to grassy weeds. Thanks in advance for any advice or tips!

Re: Weed ID
I obviously don't see Bermudagrass every day up here in NY, but that looks like Bermuda to me - especially the seedheads.

It sucks, but thanks for confirming that it is Bermuda. Guess I need to decide now what my plan will be if any. Luckily 5000sqft makes it a little cheaper.

Re: Weed ID
Do some searches on here for Bermuda + Acclaim Extra + Triclopyr. There are a few different formulas that others have used with pretty good success.
I've been using that combo and it does a good job of keeping the bermuda from spreading and "killing off" the (visible) bermuda that is there. It requires monthly applications in the summer months.
I thought I had it almost eliminated in a lawn I care for and stopped the applications for a few months. It came back and started taking back over. So now I'm back to monthly applications starting around June - September. Once it is established around here I'm not sure you can get rid of it without lots of glyphosate.
Good luck!
