Question for Andy
Andy February 12th, 2013 You wrote the following, "From Green-Up to late June, I put down 2X bag rate every week. From July 1 until August 15th, I put down bag rate every other week. After August 15th, I return to 2X bag rate until the leaves begin to fall. I am very happy with the results". My question is: Are you still following and recommending this regimen?

Re: Question for Andy
No. It works well, but I've been doing a lot of construction on the weekends and can't do it all.

Re: Question for Andy
I'll put down bag rate at green up or shortly thereafter if I miss the winterizer app. Bag rate around Memorial day and again the middle of June. Then start the fall feeding frenzy around the middle of August. Overly lush fast growing grass causes more issues than I am willing to deal with.
Just my 2 cents.
Just my 2 cents.

Re: Question for Andy
Doing it this time of year requires a careful eye - as the soil cools, so too does the microherd's capacity to digest Milorganite. Watch very carefully for any Milorgnite still laying on the ground when prepping for the next application. It's not just a theoretical risk, it really happens. Don't put down one app before the previous one is consumed!I'm going to try the double bag rate starting this week.
