Snow has melted. Too late for last feeding?

New KBG lawn. Last feeding was urea on Oct 4. Last mow was Nov 4. Top growth has stopped. The lawn has been covered in snow on and off for the last few weeks. Hi temps are forecast to be in the 40s-50s for the next few days then returning to the 30s.
My lawn looks hungry to me. Would an app of urea now do any harm? Would it likely be taken up by the lawn and get used? Thanks

My neighbors consuder me nuts already so fertilizing after 3 plowable snow events will just cement that impression

Nope not crazy. We had snow cover for 2 days and I am still cutting

Just make certain your ground is not frozen first. As long as soil temps are, say, between 40 and the mid-30s, it should work just fine. That and assuming some rain follows the application. Good luck.

You’re not crazy. You sure the grass stopped growing on 11/4?
We are getting 5” this Sunday, I’ll be putting my winterizer down just before it falls..... happy winter

I cant say for sure when top growth stopped. But it's stopped now.

I just dropped my urea a few minutes ago. I mowed last weekend for the last time and I did cut some of the tips off... so it was still growing in the last few weeks.

Dropped mine 4 days ago before a heavy rain. Then another snow event. Weather guessers are calling for 16" of snow by monday night so I think I can call my lawn care season over.

Yes. You may recall that I installed a DIY Frankenstein irrigation system and renovated from PR to KBG on 3 sides of the house. It was an unconditional success. The only hickup was a fungus of some sort in the fall that caused some discoloration. Spectator fungicide seems to have stopped that progression. Next year I will transition the back yard from PR to KBG.
One issue I think I will have is I started to see triv in the PR backyard in the fall. I hit it with round up and will reseed in the spring but I will be looking for advice on how to keep that at bay - both before and after next years backyard reno. It's been a few years since I fought this battle and I may have lost track of the best practices.
