Applied propiconazole. Have noticed several areas of red thread throughout the yard, a bit surprised since last fall was my first going through fall N regimen, maybe it just ran out of steam early in the spring. Have 2.5 gal Serenade on hand to keep problem at bay.

Put down some milo this morning, it's raining today and I beat the rain by 30 minutes.

Re: 2020: What Did You Do On Your Lawn Today?
Spot treated some poa annua and nimblewill with tenacity at around 6oz/A rate.
Hit about a dozen small clover patches with triclopyr, along with some smartweed from last year's bonanza.Temps jumping the next two days, but the lawn just got a good watering so i dont expect too much stress.
Used glyphosate for the first time. ~18% with diquat. Using it to go after some grasses growing in cracks along the foundation and walkways. Dabbed the grasses with one of those foam painter's brushes. Forgot surfactant... Will see.
Oh yeah, fixed my main pump sprayer. In the 2 years I've owned it I had never once cracked open the pump assembly. The piston o-ring was gunked up with some...substance...
Cleaned up and holding pressure fine now.

Last night my daughter and I went out and measured/walked off what will be the *potential* fall renovation area. It was close to 11,000 sq ft. Now I'm looking at our drawing and deciding how to break that down.

Found a new use for my recently acquired cement mixer... custom blend fertilizer mixer! Mixed up and put down a batch of low rate urea, slow release, humic, and a tad of leftover Milo

5th mow. Still 3.5" HoC. Grew about 2-1/2" the past 6 days.
Tiny maples dodged another bullet. Suckers won't grow like normal. Don't know why.
Pulled every one of them.
Applied 1/2 dose of BSF w/ Epsom, and 3lbs of iron.
Put down about 1/4" peat moss.

As I mentioned here regarding maple seedlings, your oak seedlings have likely halted top growth while they put all energy into developing substantial tap roots, which also makes hand pulling difficult. Until they resume top growth, you'll just keep mowing over them. But once they do, mowing will without question be the end of them.

I really wanted to wait it out on principle, but it's practically June. Game over. Cool to understand why the top growth halted. I should have guessed it. Thanks.
I did actually tap a couple with triclopyr just to see, when I was hitting the clover. Could see the damage in days. And I must have the weakest clover ever. There was easily visible damage in less than 7 hrs. I was expecting the usual 10 or so days for the first wave of attack, but this stuff was gone in 3 days.

Re: 2020: What Did You Do On Your Lawn Today?
Spot sprayed my 2nd and final CCO.
Cleaned out the pump sprayer and put it to bed until Sept.
Cool weather expected for a few days.
The grass looks good in the early am and early evening.
The rest of the time....
No rain for weeks, so unable to fertilize.

1/2 app of BSF. 2lbs iron.
2nd weekly deep watering.
Will do serenade this evening when things dry out.

No rain predicted for ~3 days, Serenade 4oz/k. Neighbors saw me come out with the sprayer, looked at me like I was Clark Griswold with a chainsaw, and almost immediately retreated into their house.

Laid in it for a bit and enjoyed the absolutely perfect weather. Seriously, 70 degrees, sunny, 45% humidity, light wind, two dogs. I already fed, have no weeds, and am in summer wait mode, so it's mow or do nothing.

Looks great Rp!!! Been thinking about getting one for my KBG back yard but I seem to think I heard somewhere it doesn't work well on KBG. Could depend on HOC? What is yours?

Re: 2020: What Did You Do On Your Lawn Today?
Mulched mow.
Since we still have not had any rain, but expecting chances of T-storms the next 24-48 hrs. with humidity 70. and temps "feel like" 90 tomorrow.
I am throwing in the towel regarding dropping any fertilizer now until Sept.
I will drop some Milo when the humidity drops (hopefully Saturday) once the cold front comes through.
This spring has not been lawn friendly for me.
