I've seen at least one report of lawns beginning to green-up, and thought it might be fun to track the progress of green-up from South to North by Member reports.

As lawns start to green-up in your area, make a response to this thread to report it, please...

Mild Winter this year. Don't think it's even gone dormat, except for some yellow on the edges where a stringer was used. Still as green as Fall..

Funny you post this... I'm with @mobiledynamics. I was just noticing that my lawn is looking nice and green, especially compared to my neighbors. I figured it was just the perfect timing of my last nitrogen application :).

It has started here in Central/Southern CT. I gave it about two weeks of observation before reporting initial green-up to make sure I wasn't reporting a false start. Additionally, Forsythia in some spots have been developing the first hint of yellow (not bloom, but a hint of yellow buds forming).

My lawn stayed relatively green most of the winter then started to brown out towards the end of January. I’m pretty sure it’s back to where it was in December, though. First crocuses are blooming though here outside Boston and the buds on the forsythia are definitely making progress. Tulips are coming up too, for that matter.

Green-up is happening her in St. Louis. TTF is definitely starting in selected areas of lawns. I haven't seen much KBG green-up, but it is usually a bit behind the TTTF.

I'd say 50% greened up here in southern PA. .5" rain and 70°temps this week seem to have flipped the switch.

Greening up and has started to grow, especially in our southern exposure. I can tell the boat shaped blades are new from last fall’s mow. I’ll probably mow later this week.

My first areas are about 70% greened up now.
