General Question Tenacity - Grass Height

Post by lawn_n00b » March 20th, 2020, 6:52 pm

I was wondering if lawn height when spraying tenacity should be considered. Should I mow my lawn short so that there's possible contact with soil, or better to spray when grass is 2 1/2 - 3 1/2 inches?

Pretty new to this.

Thanks for any insight provided.

Like many things, it depends.

When using it as a post-emergent, it is best a reasonable middle height - it is foliar-absorbed.

When used as a pre-emergent, bare soil is best, or somewhat shorter grass -- it's action is at the top of the soil.
