Dormant Overseeding
Read so much on dormant over-seeding and figured I give it a try. This fall I finally pulled the stump I had in the ground for years and it was too late to get the seeds established. On a Feb. warm day I decided to prep the area with topsoil and pest moss and spread some seeds to experiment. That area gets sun from an hour after sun up till early sundown. The seeds I had planted is KBG Bewitch and 2yr. old mixture of KBG/PRG seed I bought from a local sod farm. I didn’t spread any starter fertilizer or spray tenacity.
Today this is what I saw in that area...
I watered a little today and was wondering if I should spread some Scott’s Starter Fertilizer +plus weed preventer.
Suggestions welcome.

It looks great. I did some TTTF and KBG overseeding in January with good success as well.

Nice. Do you have irrigation? I guess the test will be how well it survives the heat of summer.

Wow. What's in the blue barrels that they are strong enough to support that weight?
