Late frost today 4/17
We haven’t had a frost here in more than a month but have one this morning. I think technically our “latest frost” date is around 4/30 but I don’t have one that late recorded in my notes or memory.

yeah.....waiting patiently for my new bluegrass yard to really start taking off so I can get compost down. (its not quite a year old yet). My front fescue yard has been going gangbusters since early April! I can't remember frost this late in a long long time.

Switching back and forth between rain and snow here - no accumulation here, but not a good day for working on the yard. 6" of snow not that far north of here...

Re: Late frost today 4/17
Had about 2" snow on grassy areas yesterday but pretty much gone by mid afternoon.
BTW, I did notice that the spot sprayed WBG I applied the other day on the weeds....
they were dying before the snow came...
I was worried that the application wouldn't be effective due to temps dropping.
This morning, I'm waking up to a hard frost on my lawn

We had a very light frost 2 days ago. Not enough to wilt the lettuce, but noticeable. Lawn and roses (even the fragile ones) weren't phased either.

We had some new growth on several andromeda shrubs that got damaged by the frost.

Yes, strange spring so far. On the 15th we had 3" of snow, lows in the 20's, highs in the 30's. On the 17th we had 4" of snow.
Both days the snow was melted by the afternoon.
