Kelp Help or not
Even without any significant rain in awhile I plan to not let my KBG go dormant this summer. No fert apps until Sept. 1.(give or take couple weeks) I have been using KH and works great on the yard but since i am not fertilizing this summer should I stop the KH? I don't want to force growth and create further stress. Curious as to how much growth it creates as a foliar app. Will it keep the yard green without forcing to much top growth? Thanks guys

It's pretty much zip as far as fertilizer goes (it's really only 2 oz per K, and less than 1% nitrogen because kelp is a heavy-hitter in potassium instead, which doesn't spark growth). So you don't have to worry about it setting off much in terms of growth.
There's some from the growth hormones in it, but much of that is in the root mass. And healthy grass will grow if it can--grass really only has two modes, growing or dormant. But there's no excess nitrogen to force the "bad" sort of summer growth.
