Does soap like Dawn work on soil like shampoo?

Technically? Well, I'm going to give you a tentative green light if it's the best you can do, but I'm going to recommend finding the shampoo if you can break out of your basement bunker and hit the dollar store or grocery store sometime in July. If not, use half the amount (1 oz Dawn per thousand) and dilute it with another ounce of water instead.

Dawn is OK, but it's a combination of non-ionic and anionic surfactants and it's...well, it's just not optimal. I'd really rather see people using things they'd use in their hair rather than something that would strip grease off their dishes or oil off the garage floor (which the 3x Dawn will do for you).

The latter sounds terrible, but I can also do that with some things I make at home. I simply don't use those at full strength on myself, my hair, or my lawn, so that's not the only factor here. That nonionic bit plays a major role as well.

I have been using plain ol’ Palmolive this year. So far so good.

For $40 you can get 5lb of SLS on makeyourown.buzz and make blsc to last you a few good years! I just got down my second treatment last night, waiting for TS Fay to drop some liquid gold for me.
