HOC for fungicide app
Heat caught up with the lawn.. I'm going to drop fungicide (dollar spot). My HOC is 4". Going to mow first. I mulch but going to bag it now. Will dropping HOC to 3.5" be beneficial (bag more of the fungus) or just leave it at 4"? Wondering if that .5" would be very detrimental with this heat.

Re: HOC for fungicide app
I'd leave it at four. The half inch would shock the lawn, which doesn't need the shock right now, without doing very much to mitigate the fungus.
Plus it's less to bag.

Not sure it it makes a difference with the HOC but be prepared for two or three apps to stop the dollar spot if you have a lot of it.
Walking, mowing, etc can spread it around. Bagging is a good idea for now.
I bailed on the low dose big box products and went with Propiconazole 14.3 and then rotated with Clearys 3336 to give me the different groups. Once I went to the “pro” formulations the dollar spot stopped getting into other areas.
Not cheap but I’m guessing I had this issue last year as well and after the spring growth flush stopped the disease had time to show itself.
Would have been cheaper had I gone right to the more effective product sooner.
If you actually have dollar spot don’t use DiseaseEX make sure you use propiconazole

Thanks KBGkicksazz...I am using Propiconazole (granular).. I'll see how it goes then get the 14.3 if I have to and a rotator.
