Post emergent crabgrass killer approved in NY
As the title says, what are my options? Amazon says that quinclorac is not approved for use in NY.

Earlier in July I used Roundup Crabgrass Destroyer. I don’t see any restrictions to NY, so it can also be a possibility for you. It worked quite well actually bleaching the crabgrass as it killed it off.

Re: Post emergent crabgrass killer approved in NY
The real story is crazy and convoluted. Quinclorac is NOT prohibited in NY. To prove that that is true, look at any bottle of WBG + Crabgrass Killer in NY. Yup, Quinclorac is right on the label. Because of potential issues with Quinclorac reaching the water table, it is limited in the size of bottle it can be sold in to homeowners, and the label must say "for spot treatments only".
Yeah, what he said. Some online sources will sell Quinclorac to NY homeowners, some won't (hint, hint). Many online retailers just say screw it, I'm not bothering with NY's regulations and rules.
Like I said above, Quinclorac is NOT prohibited, it's limited.

I don't look at the big box stores but from memory recalls, WBG CK is not on the shelves ....
Lowes might be different as whomever does their purchasing, they sell all sorts of stuff that is not even -code approved- on their shelves.

What does "code approved" mean?

It looks like "Fusilade II" can be sold to NY homeowners. Any experience with that?

Re: Post emergent crabgrass killer approved in NY
I see that Amazon will ship me a small bottle of a lower concentration of Quinclorac but not the higher concentration. Which is fine because I don't need much.

Maine does the same thing with Dylox. By regulation you are only supposed to treat infected areas not property wide broadcast so most places flat out don’t sell it without pesticide license.andy10917 wrote: ↑August 3rd, 2020, 9:27 pmThe real story is crazy and convoluted. So, people travel on down to NH and grab it...

Re: Post emergent crabgrass killer approved in NY
Chaps, as we approach the crucial overseeding period, could you kindly recommend a pre emergent available in New York when sowing TTTF? I have a few precious drops of the old tenacity which would suffice at a pinch, I suppose. With much advanced thanks, LongIslander.
