Help identify problem with lawn

Post by tlimerick » August 27th, 2020, 2:11 pm

Help please, my grass was laid down about 2 months ago. I think it was under-watered then over-watered and more fertilizer added. I found a little grub in the soil where I pulled it back and a coin size web, maybe fungus? Also, some mushrooms keep popping up but not in circles. Is my grass getting dead spots and turning a yellow orange from water stress or from bugs or fungus?
Thanks

Looks to me that their is a bunch of grass that has been cut that was too long to be cut? Hard to tell from the pics though. Could be a fungus possibly?

Have you done a soil test? To me the entire lawn shows a malaise indicative of soil unbalances. This can lead to the problems you are observing.

If you want us to interpret the test results, make sure to read and follow the "How to Submit a Soil Test for Interpretation at the top of the Soil Forum.
