Without a picture of the "tiny weeds", it's not possible to be sure, but many newly-germinated lawns show tiny dicots (two-leaf plants) that simply disappear as the grass starts to mature a bit. They just don't compete well as the grass thickens and they're often just forgotten as things develop.
That's even great to news! Sure, I will take pictures later once the rain stops.

Yeah, that's not a stupid dicot. Dicot is short for Dicotyledon -- meaning "two-leaf".
