Re: 2021: What Did You Do On Your Lawn Today?
Chopped up a bunch of leaves and dropped my final Urea @ 2 lbs/k on about 20k. Rain started about 2 hours after I dropped it. So nice when it works out like this.

Bag mowed the rest of the Hosta bed then threw them on the lawn with the rest of the leaves and mulched it all. Went and got gas for the mower. 2.5 gal. cost 9 bucks! Wishin for the good old days.

Re: 2021: What Did You Do On Your Lawn Today?
I got my urea dropped last week on 3 acres. After I finished it up we got just under 1/2 inch of rain, then two days later we got about an inch of snow. Should be good until spring. How time to get on Amazon and get some prodiamine sent this way.

Mulch mowed leaves in my backyard last night before it got dark. Wake up this morning....to a leaf covered back yard.

Re: 2021: What Did You Do On Your Lawn Today?
1.4 lbs nitrogen per thousand square feet went down on the lawn this afternoon with rain tonight (it's raining now). That's a wrap for the year, pretty much, although I'll have Olivia out for a while longer as the leaves aren't down yet (I extend summer for the trees, so ours are still pretty green...or at least gray-green).

Mulched mowed a ton of leaves again yesterday. Dropped final fert app cause we were supposed to get .5 inch of rain. All we got was a few drops. Oh well, supposed to get more Sunday into Monday.

Re: 2021: What Did You Do On Your Lawn Today?
Dropped final fertilizer last week before rain.
Mulch mowed for the last time the other day.
Of course neighbors oak leaves were still coming down.
Today, blew whatever leaves on lawn under hemlock and will deal with them in the spring.
Lawnmowers put to sleep in shed for winter.
Fired up Snowblower and transferred it into the garage.
and so my lawn care for 2021 comes to an end.

Mulch mowed. Anticipate two more grass cuts for the season, then mulch mow remaining fallen leaves.

Mulch mowed the tons of leaves on the yard. Probably 2-3 more times before all the leaves have fallen.

Leaves continue to fall... first dusting of snow last night. Tractor deck is off for plowing, so I mulched a ton with the Toro hand mower.

Re: 2021: What Did You Do On Your Lawn Today?
I got my first December mow out of the way. Mostly to mulch fallen leaves, then 2lbs urea per k. A little late, but it's still pretty warm. Now we need rain. They said our November was the 7th driest in 6,500 years.

Re: 2021: What Did You Do On Your Lawn Today?
Mowed yesterday. Took off clippings of 1/8th to 1/2 inch length since the previous weekly mow (and 1 inch+ from edges I hadn't been able to get to for a few weeks), but the overall volume of clippings is substantially declining, so the grass is not uniformly growing anymore. What this indicates is that it was likely the last truly necessary mow of the year. It's right in line with the average over the last 10 years. Soil temps were around 40F at the 4-inch depth today. Final winterizer fertilizer will be soon.

I mowed. It was 60 degrees and felt great for December. That will likely be it for mowing until next year

Overseeded with a 100lbs of a 60:40 KBG:TTTF mixture I had made up from Twin City Seed over about 45k sq ft for a dormant seed. Timed it about 12hrs before our first accumulating snowfall and last decently nice day. Here's hoping it takes!

Re: 2021: What Did You Do On Your Lawn Today?
Mowed yesterday and noticed zero growth since the last mow a week and a half ago. Really just mulched some leaves.
Need to wait on some rain to put down winterizer. Hopefully this weekend.

Mowed a couple of large lawn sections and got no growth. Put down my Winterizing fertilizer app!

Re: 2021: What Did You Do On Your Lawn Today?
In my case, it's what I didn't do. I bought a bunch of seed (blue grama, western wheatgrass, a couple of cultivars of created wheatgrass), planning to dormant seed. It's been warm and dry, so I thought I had more time. It snowed yesterday and today. Maybe enough that it will survive the next thaw. If so, I probably missed my window.
