Finished lawn wire installation, got it fired up, mowed, and repaired the front line that's been borked for nine years by the Township. Mowing looks good, but the grass has to adjust to the new mow method and mow height (rising to the full 3.5" from a bit shorter). The Landroid can mow shorter, but I've chosen not to at this point.

Another trying year with weather, health....
With extreme lack of rain this year I haven't done a whole lot with the lawn.
Starting with the fall nitrogen program with lawn irrigation.

Makes me wonder if this is going to be another bad year with snow... :sigh:

Heavy rains just rolled through and whacked me again. After three weekends, I give up this point. Maybe try again next year...

I feel you, pretty bad north of you in MSP as well. Hopefully the health turns around for you my friend.

Lawn seems to be greening here a little bit anyway, good amount of rain and cooler temps has helped. Sprayed Roundup a few days ago around some buildings and I'll be spraying Triclopyr tomorrow, hopefully.

Spread a bag of starter fert yesterday per my soil plan, before today’s rain. Also got some Pre-M down in the backyard (Stonewall 0-0-7 for half, Scotts HALTS on the other half).
Using a new spreader (Chapin 82050C) and it’s poorly designed. Will likely bring it back to HD and use the old Scott’s spreader the rest of the year.

Thank you for the kind words. Part of getting older I suppose.

Hopefully winter won't be as bad as last year.

Dropped fert yesterday and ran irrigation this morning. Temps in the 90s for this weekend...

With the front line repaired and with grass being transplanted from the garden edges, I moved the line for the Landroid again. It now mows right to the front line of the curb again, although it'll probably get stuck a bit until the grass grows in completely.

Applied 0.4 pounds of N per K in urea just before a storm that dropped, coincidentally, 0.4 inches of rain. More rain's expected tomorrow. I'm trying to get the front line and a few open holes to close before season's end.
