I cut my lawn short yesterday to get rid of some of the old grass and to see what I got for this year. I have a lot of poa-a coming along as usual.
Last year I pulled the poa-a by hand because I wanted to encourage the KBG to spread. This year the KBG looks pretty good, and the poa-a is pretty wide spread even with my pre-m last fall. The poa-a that almost died last year came back this spring, some of it hanging by a thread, but it did come back.
I was thinking of putting Tenacity down at 4oz/ac for my first app, but in the past it has always taken a few apps to bleach the poa-a. It seems that by waiting the 10-14 days to see what bleaches, Im am giving the poa-a time to recover.
I was wondering if I should just go right to the part where I start a schedule of 2oz/ac every week for like 4 weeks.
Question about timing of 1st Tenacity App....
