A new marathon

Post by DudeinMI » April 29th, 2021, 7:43 pm

18 year old yard in need of tlc. Heavy clay with a dusting of topsoil and grass. It's ok and green, but seeing spread of quack(?) getting disturbingly large.

Back yard has a slope and at the bottom is where a majority of it is

About to start the triangle approach with a dose of WBG(other suggestions?) after it warms up a little.

Leveling the yard on side of house is also on the list as it is getting pretty lumpy.

Things not ever done
Aeration,top dressing,overseeding

Basically need a battle plan

Things not ever done: good. Probably not needed. Maybe detrimental.

Go to the soils forum and read up on how to send a soil test to Logan labs. Post it and follow the recommendations.

I'm glad you see it as a marathon and not a sprint.
