Max dose mixing triclopyr & tenacity
I'm looking to put down triclopyr next weekend and would like to mix with tenacity for added effect.
Do folks typically mix at the max dose of each, or should I cut back on them? I would be applying to a mix of kbg and tttf.
I put down Trimec weed killer a week ago (2,4-D,
Mecoprop-p,
Dicamba), so it would be 2 weeks between applications. I believe ideally there would be a longer gap in between, but I'm getting a late start and want to beat that summer heat.

Re: Max dose mixing triclopyr & tenacity
I’m not sure of the max but I’ve tank mixed 1.5 teaspoons tenacity, 3 oz triclopyr, 4 teaspoons surfactant (could use more), and 3 gallons of water. I wait 2-3 weeks between triclopyr but have done tenacity on its own more frequently.spectrum1c wrote: ↑May 21st, 2021, 10:35 amI'm looking to put down triclopyr next weekend and would like to mix with tenacity for added effect.

Considering what you have already done, why not half dose it with Triclopyr this time around? And then see where you are in a week to 10days?

Masbustelo, that sounds like a safer way to go. I'll plan for 1/2 dose of triclopyr and full dose tenacity.
Pway, what concentration triclopyr are you using and what area are treating with the 3 gallon mixture?

8%, about 600 sq fee for the three gallon mix. I actually used the three gallon mix then another 2 gallon of similar proportions.spectrum1c wrote: ↑May 25th, 2021, 12:44 pmMasbustelo, that sounds like a safer way to go. I'll plan for 1/2 dose of triclopyr and full dose tenacity.

Re: Max dose mixing triclopyr & tenacity
Thanks Pway.
I went with 1/2 dose of triclopyr and 4oz/acre tenacity.
