Can someone please identify this weed?

Kentucky bluegrass, Fescue, Rye and Bent, etc

Can someone please identify this weed?

It’s beginning its annual takeover of part of my lawn. Any guesses?

The growth habit and leaves look like Speedwell. If so, it's one of those plants that flowers and then seeds, then dries up in the heat and drops the seeds for next year's crop. Timing seems similar to chickweed, maybe a bit behind.

I have an explosion of this also this year. :banghead:
Some of mine started having tiny blue flowers on the tips.
I believe it is corn speedwell. Hitting it with CCO was effective for me.

Had a large section of this weed in my yard. Trimec weed killer a week ago (2,4-D, Mecoprop-p, Dicamba) wiped it out

I used Weed-b-Gone this week, and most of the stuff has started dying.
