Creeping Charlie

Post by fall50 » October 30th, 2021, 9:12 am

Quick one for the group. I have bad creeping Charlie. Sprayed Fertlilome 2,4D. Can triclopyr also be applied few days later as it’s different product/chemical? Or do I have wait 2 weeks

Ask because growing season is rapidly coming to a close

I think it depends on the rate you applied 2,4-D. You'd have to check your triclopyr label, mine includes dosages for mixing with other herbicides. I know Andy isn't a big fan of mixing the two, some people have done some considerable damage to their lawn.

That said, where are you located? To get good weed kill they really need to be actively growing. We've been past the time to kill weeds in Minnesota for at least a few weeks and we're having a very late fall this year. Unless you're in the transition zone that ship may have sailed this year.
