Another mow and sprayed some Cleary 3336F (Thiophanate-methyl) as another disease control. Started have some softball/grapefruit sized patches of grass die off from disease.

Milo drop before the rain. Stepped outside afterthe rain subsided and enjoyed the smell. Watching my automower, The GOAT today after the rain as i installed different wheels because my front slope is steap and has more lower spots that i thought (definally used Morph's scuba weights before and that helped, in the front though because it kept thinking it was upside down in a few uneven areas).

watching the grass grow. Sprayed bio-stims before dark last night. Prayed for rain, prayers answered this morning.
5/29 mowed, transplanted ferns & added fresh compost around the trees. Sharpened/balanced a set of blades- mowing three times a week takes its toll.

Not today, but a few days ago, we had 3 days off rain in the forecast. I threw some crested wheatgrass and western wheatgrass seed in the hopes that 3 days off rain might bre enough to get some germination. Got a bonus rain today (didn't feel like a bonus since I was cycling home from my swim).

I'm seeing some seedlings, but they may be from the seed I the down for dormant serving.

I know I'd have better luck if I seeded in the fall and watered several times a day for a few weeks, but I'm not allowed to water at all due to a city ordinance and stubbornness on my part. So I have to rely on what nature provides (and it isn't much).

Between Friday afternoon and yesterday morning:

Edged and mulched flower beds
Cut lawn at 4"
Threw down OceanGro (local Milo alternative) bag rate

Yard is looking amazing!

I mowed. But it rained last weekend, which meant that I missed what should've been a mowing, *and* it grew faster.

Since my mower is a manual reel mower, that means there's a lot of tall grass after mowing, so I'll need to use the weed eater later this week and mow again.

Photographed it. It's a phenomenally extended spring/early "summer" this year. I have to turn the edge of the killed gardens where I re-established the garden edge.

Mowed yesterday. Started raining just as I finished the last pass  Didn't get the edging & trimming done so I did that today. Had noticed the infernal wild violet and henbit trying to re-establish so I also spot sprayed today. Mixed up 1 gallon (easier math) of spray, had plenty left to spot spray the f-i-l's lawn so did that also. While I was spraying his lawn I kept thinking this grass is awful short for a "3 inch" cut to height. So I took a look at his mower- set it at the 3 setting he mowed at and measured to the blades- Yup! 2". Took measurements at all the numbered settings and recorded the actual heights. Told him that he'll need the #4 setting for 3". I also noticed the dealer he bought it from has the scalp wheels set wrong(if I follow the instructions in the manual, it would be exactly opposite to how they set it) so that needed resetting. Gotta be up at 4a.m. so am now listening to the entire neighborhood mowing lol oh well it could be so much worse!
