Pre emergent first or deal with existing clover?
I am still fairly new in learning the ins and outs of lawn care and have loved these forums as a resource. It’s spring here in NY and I’m wondering whether order matters in regards to whether I should put down my crabgrass preventer or use a post emergent to try to kill the clover before waiting a few days or week and putting down the pre emergent. Thank you for any input! The temperature seems appropriate for putting down the pre emergent, so I don’t want to wait too long, but also want to get the clover under control.

Both at once are usually fine; WBG Clover, Chickweed, and Oxalis is completely compatible with most pre-emergents.

I use the preM and triclopyr at relatively the same time without issue

Re: Pre emergent first or deal with existing clover?
Thanks for the replies! I sometimes overthink these things - was wondering if the pre emergent would make dealing with clover more difficult since it’s a “soil sealer,” at least from my understanding.
