Spot Treating POA Triv with Certainty

Post by bazilbrush » June 6th, 2022, 6:47 pm

I have a KBJ lawn in NJ, seeded last year. I can see patches of bunching grass in the lawn that I’m fairly sure are POA Triv. This time of year they can be spotted visually, as they grow faster and form an obvious clump.

So the question is, can I spot treat these with Certainty to give the KBG growing among it a chance to fill in/ take over or is this a waste of time? The KBG is just waking up, so I’d rather not glypho unnecessarily. The alternatives are glypho or just wait until next year when the KBG is more established.
