Coiling Hoses

Post by Adam_M » October 17th, 2022, 5:09 pm

While a somewhat light-hearted topic, I'd still appreciate some advice on coiling hoses at the end of the season. It isn't an issue in the spring/summer because they are warm, but now ...well, it is an hour of frustration that ends in poorly coiled hoses, kinks, twists and maybe some questioning of why we go through all of this effort.

I've toyed with running hot water through the hoses, but I don't have the right nozzle on my slop sink, and that's not all that convenient even if I did.

Thanks!

Lay them out in the afternoon sun. Wait an hour and then have at it. It’s always worked for me, even in Winter
