Fed it--a tad early, but it's organic. Dropped the GrubEx for the season. Did the second sharpening on the lawnmower blades. Realized I've misplaced the 100-grit diamond sharpener and I have no idea where it is...

Morpheus...what is your current feeding schedule? I know you used to go heavy on organics but I think you have backed off a bit.

The part that I struggle with is getting a firm monthly plan in place that I can work towards. I would like to have everything on hand in advance.

Since this is the quick and dirty list thread, start a new thread for that one. I'm ridiculously variable, but...

Aerated some trouble spots. Then I ran out of daylight. Trying to get them all and mow again before Fridays rain.

Last night - cut, even though lawn barely needed it. 4" soil temp a couple days ago was 50, down from 55 a month ago so things are slow. But time today is iffy and four days of rain is predicted starting tomorrow, so...

Spent 20 minutes with Home Depot customer service this a.m. trying to figure out why my SOP, ordered 4/17, still hasn't shipped despite the fact that they created a label and charged me ten days ago. She said they show inventory so vendor is probably just behind. At least I should get it at some point, and I had enough on hand to do my first SOP app a a few days ago.

Cut (no stalls - lawn is running low on N or moisture or both).
Edged sidewalks
Blew
Milo and Ammonium Sulfate (time to fill dead weed spots!)
Grubex
Recutting grown in flowerbeds...arggh...

Would love to hear more about how you aerate? How effective have you found it?

Changed the mower's oil and cleaned out the deck. I'll have to remember next spring that if I'm getting stalls, duh, mower deck is packed with matted grass. Sharping blades while I'm at it.

Dropped alfalfa pellets. A little earlier than planned, but light rain predicted starting tonight for four days so hoping that will help break the pellets down.

Sharpened the blades again this year. Tried out a sanding paddle wheel on my grinder. Not too bad.

I mowed what I could, we’ve gotten so much rain over the past few days with more to come, I have several spots where it’s just standing water

I have not been able to mow for 5 days due to rain. Lucked out a bit that temps were in the 40s keeping growth slightly slower...

Today, I finally cut. That mower tune-up and deck cleaning did the trick! I was running with the mower and not stalling! Hardly any clump trails either.

Cut yesterday when the grass was finally dry enough. The alfalfa pellets I'd put down had turned into soft, lighter-colored blobs (days of off-and-on light rain after they went down), so was hoping the mower would break them apart. It didn't and it looked a mess. Ended up going around the yard with a hose and watering them in - a major pain, even in my small yard. Thankfully, no plans for more alfalfa this year, but I have a bag each of pine pellets and soybean pellets (they didn't have SBM) sitting in the garage.

Another mow in yesterday after a much needed break from 10 days of cold, rain, and clouds. Tenacity lit up a fair amount of poa triv coming from the neighbor's lawn as well as some that has snuck into the middle of mine. Probably going to have to use some non-selective herbicide and overseed on those spots this fall.

Seedheads here as well... Continued to mow @ 2.5", sprayed Serenade. Will consider first N app of the season and putting down DiseaseX for SummerPatch prevention soon.
