Mesotrione VS Clover, Landscaping, especially Juniper?

So anyone that has experience with Mesotrione, has was it at controlling clover?

I have some blue rug juniper with stubborn infestation of white clover. I tried Image (Imazaquin) with so-so success. If mesotrione didn't harm shrubs and worked well on clover, I thought that might be a good alternative to spot spray.

Tenacity isn't labeled for juniper, so use is not at all recommended.
