Reno Project and Tenacity

Post by Smolenski7 » October 1st, 2023, 11:24 am

Just over 2 weeks ago I started a small (about 4K) reno of a portion of my backyard. I sprayed 2 apps of Tenacity to help kill an infestation of Bent Grass then manually thatched and then rented an over seeder to plant the seed back on September 15th.....a month before our average first frost. Not ideal, but it was the best I could do. The seed has since germinated, and I think the KBG is still coming in, so my question is this.....

To help control the Bent Grass that I didn't get with the first 2 apps of Tenacity, I would like to spray a 3rd app. soon after 10/15. Is that too soon? Since top growth will probably stop around the 2nd or 3rd week of November, will it give the desirable grass, and the new grass I just planted, time to recover?
