Celsius and Prodiamine in the same day?
Hey all, Saturday is Saturday, time to work in the yard. Can these two herbicides be applied in the same day? Celsisus first and let it dry, then Prodiamine second and water it in? I'm not sure if my yard will reactor badly to it and wanted to check. I laid Celsius down already and curious if I can add the pre-emergent next. Thanks in advance.

There shouldn't be any problem doing what you're talking about here, but my question would be 'why?' What annual weeds are you trying to prevent or reduce with the Prodiamine? There's not a whole that's germinating right now.

Yes. I mix them together in the tank and spray. Others on the forum do the same, which is where I got the idea.

I'm just not clear on and not sold on the need for Prodiamine in a summer application. Most of the summer annuals have already germinated and the winter annuals aren't germinating yet. It sounds like the only thing this app could do is inhibit the growth of your roots. I'm not sure that's a good trade.

I broke my leg in Feb and missed my first Prodiamine application, I'm finally getting back to normal activity and and wanted to lay the Prodiamine. Because I missed the spring app, I have weeds sprouting and I wanted to prevent further infestation. Figured it's never too late.

Re: Celsius and Prodiamine in the same day?
The thing is -- there certainly is a too late. Most of the summer annuals have already germinated (they may just be too small to be noticed yet), so applying Prodiamine now won't help. The best option now is to maintain a healthy turf stand, treat weeds as they appear, and save your PRE for the fall Poa season.
