removing bermuda patches from establshed zoysia lawn

Post by darinbrown » June 18th, 2019, 3:46 pm

we re-sodded 2 years ago as part of a pool build and switched to Zoysia (Zeon) from the bulider's bremuda that was put down when the house was built. We did 2 rounds of roundup to get rid of any lingering bremuda prior to installing the zoysia but some has begun to come back in small patches. Any other options apart from spot-treating the bermuda with a non-selective killer and get it out and then let the Zoysia fill in around it?

I have about 30 patches of Bermuda in our Zoysia marked and ready for Roundup. I'll apply it with a glove.

good stuff. patches are small enough at the moment that I'll try and apply carefully via glove or similar means initially and see if that helps
