Growth Regulator followed by monsoon rain! Argh!
Hey all. I'm new to these forums.
Yesterday after work I mixed up some t-pac growth regulator (1/4oz in 2gal/1000sq ft) and sprayed my bermuda lawn. This was my first ever application of growth regulator. Anyhow, we had a "slight" chance of rain, but apparently God had other plans. About 30 min after finishing I started to get a light rain. It stayed light for approx 1 hour, then the heavens opened up. Woke up this morning and checked all my rain gauges to find I got 4.8" of rain.
Is my application wasted? How long should I wait before doing this treatment again?
Thanks in advance!

You'll be fine.
Back when I first started using it and didn't know if it would burn in the middle of the summer, I would water on purpose after about 30 minutes.
Label calls for an hour before rain fast, but a lot of the active ingredient is taken up by the grass in a 1/2 hour.
Obviously leaving it on longer would be "better", but if ALL the time I had was a 1/2 hour window to spray or it wouldn't get done, I would have no problem going ahead with application.
You'll be regulated. Post back when you're afraid you broke your grass because you're barely having to mow.

OK, so I am guessing "growth regulator" is something to slow the growth of bermuda in the summer? Isn't that counter-productive?

If you want the growth regulated, then no, its not counter productive.
If you don't want the growth regulated, then yes, it would be counter productive.

MW is not kidding...when I first put applied TPac...i went from mowing at 1/2" almost every day to every 3-4 days... Just keep an eye out for springback....for some reason it does not ease back into top growth...it comes back like a slingshot!! I have that Celcius WG when you are ready....

HA! I didn't want to harass you with EVERY question I have. I ask my employees to be resourceful... it's good form to follow my own advice.
I'll stop by this evening and pick up some Celsius. Thanks John!
