trying to get some things done while it cools off a little during the day.

i have a spot where bermuda simply will not survive. too much shade and im going to lay a pallet of St. A.

Will i be ok laying it down going into the fall? around here it will stay worm till like novemberish.

enough time to get a good root?

Should be okay. I laid my Zoysia sod in my front yard in late October and had no issues with it. However, depending on which cultivar of St A you choose, the cold tolerance is not as high as my Zoysia so I guess that could affect it if the roots don't establish deep enough prior to freezing temps. Also, any grass planted in the shade will establish less quickly which could also affect you. I would say that if you are putting it in now (or at least in the next two weeks) and you hit it with some good starter fert and plenty of water you should be fine.

it gets about 30# shade out of the day if i were to guess. i already have the fert and the area is prepped and aerated. i think im going to go for it!
