Re: 2017: What did you do on your lawn today?
Just ordered a 390 lb, 36" towable lawn roller to compact the never-ending mole activity in my yard. I was spot spraying some weeds over the weekend and the problem looks worse than what I originally thought...

Addressed my back lawn that i've been neglecting for far too long. It never got cold enough here for my bermuda to go dormant. It's been green and growing like crazy all winter. Weed have been growing like crazy as well, since I slacked on my pre-m. Cut it down to 1" yesterday, and sprayed some BLSC and 2,4D today to try to knock out some of those winter weeds.

Put down ironite in the front lawn. Sprayed weeds using hand can in the back yard.

Have you been collecting grounds all winter? I guess if they're wet, that's not that too much. Do you have a location you hit up regularly, or just go in whenever?

That is wet weight. A Starbucks close to me puts all their UCGs in 50gal plastic bags and set them out back for the public to grab for use in gardens and such. 200lbs is about two wheelbarrows full. I try and do I pick up once a week.

I finally got the front scalped today. Took it down to about 1/4". I got the usual stares from the neighbors.

Austin weather was finally good enough for me to drop the mower to the lowest setting and scalp the lawn. I am glad my neighbor's issues have not crossed over into my yard...

I'm continuing to work through getting the yard scalped. I'm taking it down to the dirt with the Mclane.

Re: 2017: What did you do on your lawn today?
I still have a little ways to go on mine as well, currently scalped at 7/16" but I need to make some cuts against the grain and perhaps drop it on down to a 1/4". I've already gathered about 35-40 bags of clippings and there's more left to remove

Re: 2017: What did you do on your lawn today?
I did move it to short. I got Lesco Fall and Winter fertilizer on clearance from HD. It has 18-0-18 ration. Is it ok to apply now. Does it really matter if it is a Fall or Winter fertilizer as long as these ratio is maintained. Does it have any other stuff which prevents lawn growing because it is winter fertilizer. Store guy little confused me.
