Another Weed Identification.

Post by thillis » February 2nd, 2017, 9:57 am

Sorry im sure this weed has been identified somewhere before, but I could not find it. These are coming up sporadically all over my front yard. The grass is Yukon planted by seed last summer. I'm at the base of the mountains in NC so we are in the middle of winter. No preemergent was put down. Also I have a few "white" areas around the yard. Looks like someone poured bleach on the grass. Grass is completely dormant and has been so for about 2 months.

Take a picture closer like my avatar and then one up close of the leaf.

Don't try to ID it -- no point. The Bermuda is completely dormant. Hit those cool-season weed grasses now with Glypshosate (RoundUp) and get it done. Don't wait for any chance of the Bermuda emerging from dormancy.
