Is that concrete edging poured in place or did they come in sections you connected together? I want to change my edging out to something similar.

I assume poured in place. They were there when we bought the house.

Re: 2017 Southern Lawn Pics
My lawn was 99% weeds when I moved in summer 2014. Here are then and now pictures.
Note that the only St Augustine is under the faucet and behind the potted dead plant.
Here is the now pic from a different angle.
The St Augustine is marching out through the weeds. It has grown out about 20 feet to form a dense turf. Beyond that there are runners but they are not dense enough to call a turf yet.

Re: 2017 Southern Lawn Pics
I think it's a zoysia....don't see any brown below the top canopy. You have neighbors that know what they have exactly? Bermuda isn't very soft and feels much different. Looks great though

Oh no, it is definitely Bermuda. I meant I didn't know what cultivar it is. And I must say, this Bermuda is very soft and plush.
Thanks for the compliment.

Re: 2017 Southern Lawn Pics
Well I got in a pretty bad accident and have been out for about 2 1/2 months my neighbors have been cutting my grass but went from a 1 to a 4 setting. Now that i am back to good health i spent about 6 hours going from the 4 back down to the 1. I need to go get some fertilizer and will be watering it for the next couple of days to help it green up (hopefully).
My neighbors think im crazy because it was dark green on top but the length was driving me insane!

Re: 2017 Southern Lawn Pics
I thought I would get in on the fun. In April I decided to let my weekly yard crew go and take on this grass stuff myself. When I started I did not know the difference between St. Augustine and Bermuda
Slowly but surely I am learning what to do and what not to do. I have a long was to go, but thanks to members on this forum I am gaining ground!!!

Re: 2017 Southern Lawn Pics
Tomorrow will be 2 weeks since scalping and every 3 days I have been cutting it still on #1. It is amazing just in 3 days how much growth I get, but its finally greening up!goku025 wrote: ↑July 20th, 2017, 11:21 amWell I got in a pretty bad accident and have been out for about 2 1/2 months my neighbors have been cutting my grass but went from a 1 to a 4 setting. Re: 2017 Southern Lawn Pics
Sorry to hear about your accident, and know the frustration of the midsummer scalp. That 5-6" rain in the last week really helped my lawn - I bet yours is looking great by now!!goku025 wrote: ↑July 20th, 2017, 11:21 amWell I got in a pretty bad accident and have been out for about 2 1/2 months my neighbors have been cutting my grass but went from a 1 to a 4 setting.
