Even before seeing the third picture, my mind immediately went to cattail. But it seems too wide at the base and too pointy at the tip. You know you need to clean your gutters (and resolve low spots) when you've got cattails growing in 'em.
It also reminds me of iris seedlings, in case there is some sort of water iris beyond the view of the pic. I grow all sorts of irises and do find random seedling in the lawn (no, not bearded irises).
In your last pic, do those tall seed heads belong to the offending weed? If so, it's definitely a grass, but sheesh, don't withhold! The seed head is key for ID, so include close-up pics of the seed head at various stages (if that is indeed one and the same).

It's definitely not quack grass, but you know that from browsing images online, particularly those of quack seed heads.
Unfortunately, Florida has quite a unique ecosystem and is well outside of my weed ID jurisdiction. Hopefully someone else will chime in now that you've provided more pics.

Regardless of what it is, I would spot spray with an atrazine product in late March to mid April. It was too late in the season to do anything about it last season when you first posted. Here's one I use. They have a new bottle with a new spray head which is infinitely better than the one in the picture.
There seems to be a large dead spot in the pictures. What's up with that? You're worried about a sparse weed but not the large dead area? And the grass seems pretty yellow. Would you like some watering and fertilizer tips? Most people in FL water far too often resulting in yellow lawns. That would be my first guess at the color issue.
